Micro-edge capacity across managed residential developments
High-density housing concentrates two things in the same place: a large number of people who benefit from low-latency compute, and a building operator carrying the cost of resilience. The Base Tier node is specified for exactly this placement — residential walls and urban micro-edge sites.

DAIT’s current deployment phase covers commercial sites only — stadiums and arenas, hotel and commercial rooftops, solar rooftops and campuses, hospitals and medical campuses, college campuses, logistics hubs, ports, manufacturing and building perimeters. Residential and high-density housing are planned for a later phase and are not being assessed today.
What follows describes the intended residential deployment model. It is not an offer, and no residential site is being qualified in this phase. If you manage a residential development, you are welcome to register interest.
The smallest footprint, closest to demand
Base Tier is the single-cabinet configuration intended for residential walls and urban micro-edge sites. It is the tier where placement density matters more than individual node capacity.
Wall and podium siting
A single sealed IP65 cabinet designed for wall or podium placement, without requiring conditioned indoor space or a dedicated plant room.
Backup that stays with the building
47 kWh of on-site storage with a 10 kW solar inverter. The configuration is designed to provide blackout backup while continuing to run compute.
Compute next to population density
Placing inference capacity inside dense residential areas puts it physically close to the users it serves, which is the operating premise of an urban micro-edge estate.
No capital, no operating burden
DAIT carries capital expenditure, installation, insurance and maintenance. The building operator contributes space and access to existing service.
What governs feasibility on this site type
Residential siting is governed primarily by the people living alongside it. Acoustic, visual and access considerations tend to determine feasibility before electrical capacity does.

DAIT carries all capital expenditure, installation, maintenance and insurance. The host contributes space and access to existing service.

DAIT is at pre-pilot stage — no node has yet been deployed in the field. Storage, resilience and power-saving figures are engineering estimates and design targets, not measured operating results. Residential deployments would be subject to the building’s fire strategy, any lease or management-company restrictions, and local planning consent.
